You have become accustomed to finding clients at the supermarket, online while you are on facebook, and even at your networking groups. This weekend I found 2 new clients in places I had not suspected I would find them. I was having fun with my kids.
It started on Friday when I took my oldest to a family fun center in the area for go carts, putt putt, and batting cages for his birthday. I was looking forward to playing for the evening after a busy week. That’s when it happened. I mentioned that I was surprised they didn’t have a website. I was told how their website expired and the owner had no clue how to set one up.
Well, of course I couldn’t resist mentioning what I do for a living. How one of the services I offer is website set up and one thing led to another. A half hour later the owner bought my husband and I drinks and told me he wants me to do his website and take the photos for it. So I had fun and found a new client at the same time.
Then Saturday I took my youngest to his preschool party and found another possible client in the owner of that establishment. Apparently someone had set up her website and not told her how to do anything on it. Obviously, it wasn’t working out.
So the next time you go out for a little fun, remember you may be meeting your next client.
