I was listening to some music today for things to keep me up and inspired when Rihanna came on: “Shut up and drive.” That pretty much says it all, doesn’t it? You, as the head of your own business need to shut up and drive. I hear agents say all the time that they want to succeed. Then as a small business owner, because that’s what you are, you need to be in the driver seat.
My kids will be the first to tell you that when I’m driving and someone is going too slow I’ll tell them to lead, follow, or get out of the way. The same applies to your business.
If you’re not willing to shut up and drive; if you’re not willing to lead; then you need to follow what someone else is doing successfully and you need to get out of your own way.
