As a real estate agent you wear many different hats, but the most important hat you wear is the one most agents never do. As a real estate agent you are an independent contractor within a larger brokerage. What this means is you own your own business.
As a business owner you have the choice to become the CEO of your company and really drive your business on to success or to be a Jack-of-All-Trades. The problem with being a Jack-of All-Trades is it usually means you are master of none. To successfully grow your real estate business you have to let go of some of the work and become the CEO.
I’m sure if you walked into any business today you would never see the owner creating flyers or spreadsheets. You would find in talking to most that they delegate most of the administrative work to an assistant or two.
As an agent, you need to delegate as well so that your business will grow. By trying to do it all yourself you are setting your business up to fail. You don’t want to be the agent that over promises and under delivers and you certainly don’t want to be remembered that way.
Take the time before you become completely overwhelmed to partner with a virtual assistant and find ways to get more done in less time. You’ll also find that you have more time for business and for your family!
