I was recently browsing on Facebook and came across something that I think is really important when it comes to setting up your Facebook page. As the owner of a multi-VA real estate virtual assistant company I have many times set up Facebook pages for my clients and when I was done setting it up they OWNED what they paid for.
What do I mean by that? Well, if you are using a service to manage your fan gate or custom tabs on your Facebook page and you pay a monthly fee do you own the content? All fan gate creation companies are not created equal. Take a look at the example below.
So what happens when they stop paying the monthly fee? It is run on their servers and once the monthly fee is no longer being paid, I would imagine all the content on the page would go away too. I haven’t spoken with them to verify this, however it is something worth considering.
The same thing happens with your real estate website. If you are using a template site from some place like Real Pro Systems or Homes.com that comes pre-loaded with your content then you don’t own it. And yes, I am going to suggest you get a WordPress website. Yes, I am going to tell you to invest in your business with that site, but it’s also going to SAVE you money in the year over analysis. When you pay a large monthly fee to one of these companies and compare it to the cost of your monthly hosting it is a no-brainer. Yes, it will cost you money up front to get a good website where you own the content, but it will save you money over time.
So what CAN you do if you want really awesome-looking pages on Facebook or a website that actually works to bring you leads, saves you money, and is content that you OWN? If you don’t write HTML, which I am going to venture to guess you don’t, then you need a virtual assistant to do it for you. At List 2 Close Assistant we have someone that is able to write that code for you and we have a kick-butt website designer, so that you can have the page you want and a website you can be proud to send people to visit. And we can also get your tabs set up for IDX lead capture, eZine capture, and much more!
Be sure to give your List 2 Close Assistant a call if you’re ready to set up a kick-butt page or a website that will make your competitors cry.
