It seems like almost every day there is a new tool that you hear about when it comes to the “right” way to market your real estate business. Who determines what the “right” way is? Is it the developer or the agent in a city 500 miles away or is it your consumer?
When push comes to shove it should be what the consumer tells you that is the MOST important! Let me repeat myself. What your buyers and your sellers are telling you they use, look at, love is what is most important in developing a winning marketing strategy.
So what is a winning marketing strategy? I can tell you as a real estate virtual assistant that what works for one agent does not necessarily work for another agent. What works in one market does not necessarily work for another market. What works for one agent is not necessarily going to work for another agent.
You need to build a strategy that reaches your consumers and intended market. The winning marketing strategy is one that works.
I’m not telling you not to use new tools or try them out. How will you know if they work or not if you don’t try them? Go ahead and try them for a reasonable length of time, but be ready to adjust or just drop that portion of your strategy if you are not seeing any results. Wasted effort helps no one.
And just remember that in your quest to have the BEST marketing plan don’t drop the tools you’ve used effectively for years just because someone tells you it doesn’t work. If it worked for you last month, it’s still going to work today. The best marketing plan is the one that blends old school with new and reaches your target audience.
